Earthquake Work: First Response, Relief, and Rebuild
We visited several villages and displaced communities to provide water filtration and purification systems.
We did some building inspection work in the Ramechhap District through the help of our geotechnical engineer.
We took corrugated metal as a relief item to provide shelter in the Ramechhap, Sindhupalchok, and Gorkha districts.
We distributed tents as emergency shelters to 20 different churches in affected communities.
We coordinated our aid with major agencies like Samaritan’s Purse, the UN, and USAID to take relief items to the Ramechhap and Gorkha districts.
We distributed gifts to the children including toys, stuffed animals, clothes, and other fun items.
We distributed rice in Chesku, Duragau, Dilauri, Saipu and Salom villages in the Ramechhap district of Nepal. We delivered 60,000 lbs. of rice to the Gorkha, Sindhuplachok, and Ramechap districts.
We provided funding for 35 hours of helicopter flights to bring aid to the villages of Sirdibas. (Sirdibas is the gateway to Mt. Manashlu in the Gorkha district).
Children Rescue Mission Nepal is rebuilding communities to restore the lives of Nepal’s poor.
