Family Self Sufficiency Project
Children Rescue Mission Nepal helps families sustain themselves by providing goats, carts for selling produce, pigs, and chickens, which will help them be self-sufficient. We equip families with various skills to work opportunities to enable them to stand on their own feet. We call this the Family Self Sufficiency Project. Many young mothers are widows who need help desperately to provide for themselves, as well as any children they may have. Children Rescue Mission Nepal launched a Push Cart Project which provides long-term financial support for a family to survive. Pushcarts allow a family to wheel crops and items for sale to the market. Being able to take items to markets means many families earn enough money to be self-sustaining. We have assisted more than 50 different families with the Push Cart Project and plan to help many more.
