Children Rescue Mission in Nepal supports over 180 widows
every month. They have no Social
Security or any kind of retirement plan, but CRM works to help them throughout
their various struggles. Widows often find a shortage of food once their
husbands die, since the husbands are usually the sole provider of the family.
The widows often lose their land because they simply do not have enough funds
to keep going. CRM Nepal provides rice
for the widows, which they receive at no cost of their own. Widows travel from the most rural and secluded
places in Nepal to get the rice they greatly need. The widows also receive
blankets and jackets in the colder months to keep them warm and healthy.
